Sierra Leone Police cut LAJ’s hair while in detention

Amadu Bah’s hair was cut by Sierra Leone police.

While Alhaji Amadu Bah was in police custody, his hair was cut.

During his time in detention, officers from the Sierra Leone Police Department cut LAJ’s hair.

Ishmail Bah, the older brother of Boss LA, stated that the police had shaved off some of Alhaji Amadu Bah’s hair. This announcement was made by him in the form of a Facebook video on the 14th of June 2022.

On June 11, 2022, while en route to Conakry, Guinea, to see Sierra Leone play Guinea-Bissau in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match, the rapper and many of his friends were jailed in Freetown. After some time, he was arrested for allegedly robbing SLL 450,000 from a gas station.

A pickup truck full of OSD officers arrived at Congo Cross Police Station the same day as his arrest and demanded that they be present to transport Boss LA, according to Ishmail, who was narrating the entire incident.

According to him, his brother was taken to the CID when a lawyer appeared on their behalf.

“He explained to me how he was treated by the police.” He said on Sunday that a group of police officers came to his cell at around 3:00 am to cut his hair. He refused and resisted them. They later reinforced it to a total of 10, forcefully injected him with red liquid, and cut off his hair, the police saying that it was an order from their boss”.
