Mum arrested for selling five-day-old baby for 3600 USD
The five-day-old infant was sold for $3600 by his mother.
The mother who was arrested for allegedly selling her five-day-old baby to a couple for $3,600 allegedly told the pair that she needed the money for a nose operation.
The woman, who is 33 years old and was not named in the local news, was taken into custody in Dagestan, which is located in southern Russia, before she could have the surgery.
It is alleged that the mother confided to a friend that she had no intention of keeping the baby.

In addition to this, it is believed that she arranged for a couple to purchase the child on April 25, exactly five days after the child was born in Kaspiysk, a city in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia, located on the Caspian Sea.
Police say the mother surrendered her son on the day she left the hospital for a 10 percent down payment of 20,000 roubles (342 USD).
After a few weeks, the infant required medical attention at the hospital, and the staff questioned the parents about his birth certificate.
In exchange for another 100,000 roubles (1700 USD) on May 26, they allegedly received it from the child’s natural mother.
When the couple asked her about her plans for the money, she reportedly said she was going to use it to get a nose job.
After all was said and done, she still had not been paid the remaining 200,000 roubles (3600 USD).
Before they could turn it over, the police swooped in and arrested all three of the suspects on charges of trafficking in human beings.
