At Isulo, in the Orumba North Local Government Area of the state, the pregnant woman and her children were killed.
The killings were a new low in the attacks by IPOB terrorists on non-indigenous people. These terrorists are also attacking the police and the military, which are seen as symbols of authority.
IPOB terrorists, who have been causing trouble for a long time as they push for secession, have also hurt people from Anambra State and the South East in general.
48 hours after Sunday’s killing of northerners without provocation, the story has not been told by any national print or broadcast media despite wide coverage by social media with graphic photos of the mayhem and condemnation by security operatives, groups, and individuals over a “conspiracy of silence.”
The outlawed group killed the northerners days after finding the abducted lawmaker’s head. Alhaji Sa’id Muhammad, the Sarkin Hausawa of Orunba North LGA, said northerners in Anambra State have decided to leave because of the killing of their relatives by the Eastern Security Network (ESN), IPOB’s armed wing.
In an interview with Daily Trust, Muhammad said the killing of the pregnant woman and her four children was not unusual because many of his people were killed in such a callous manner.
“The woman was from Adamawa State. Before her death, she lived in Orumba South, and on Sunday, she visited her friends with her four children.
“It was on her way back home in Orumba South that she was killed. She was being conveyed by a commercial motorcyclist when they were ambushed by the gunmen. They murdered her and her four children but the motorcyclist escaped,” he said.
