In Nepal, a plane with 22 people on board went missing
At least 22 people were on board a passenger plane that went missing in Nepal on Sunday, according to the airline.
Pokhara’s Twin Otter plane took off at 9:55 a.m. and soon lost communication with air traffic controllers.
According to Phanindra Mani Pokharel, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs, two helicopters have been dispatched for the purpose of conducting a search operation.
It takes around 20 minutes by plane to get to Jomsom from Pokhara, which is located west of Kathmandu. Jomsom is a popular trekking location in the Himalayas.
