David Genaro in rhythm city has passed away
Jamie Bartlett, a well-known actor from South Africa, has passed away. He was 55 years old.
The roles of David Genaro in Rhythm City and Mike O’Reilly in Isidingo, among others, brought Bartlett the most fame during his career as an actor. In the year 1966, he was born in Maidenhead, England, to a mother from South Africa and a father from the United Kingdom.
At the University of Cape Town, David Genaro pursued his education in speech and acting. His first important role was in the movie American Ninja 2, which was released in the United States, and then he went on to make a number of appearances in both foreign and local films.
Throughout his career, he was honored with a multitude of honors, including: two awards: one for South African Film & Television, and the other for Fleur du Cap Theatre.
