Chinese woman begging for flight tickets in kenya
In Kenya, a Chinese woman was seen begging for airline tickets.
A Chinese citizen has been seen camped out along Ring Road Kilimani for several days, pleading with Kenyans to help her earn money so that she may buy a plane ticket back to China.
The woman was seen sitting on the side of the road just a few meters away from Yaya Shopping Centre, as her countryman pleaded with people walking by to give her money and assist her in paying for the journey back to China.
She had an open basket and a banner with her pay bill number and a Kenyan phone number on which she collected donations in cash and mobile money.
A Chinese woman said that the woman was in desperate need of help because she had run out of money while she was in Kenya. Even still, there were Kenyans who refused to assist her and insisted that she seek assistance from the Chinese Embassy in Nairobi.
The debate was mostly about why she was out on the streets begging for help when she could just be sent back to her home country.
On the other hand, her friend stood up for her and said that they really were stuck. “What is wrong with a Chinese asking for money? She does not have a job? We do not have jobs. I just want to help her,” she insisted.
“But she has two expensive phones. Can you sell me one phone?” a voice asked in the background.
As the fight with people who didn’t believe her cries got worse, the Chinese woman decided to defend herself by saying that she had no choice but to ask for help from kind and generous Kenyans. “I want to go back home,” she cried.
