Breaking News: Nigerian Troops Neutralize Bandits, Recover Weapons in Mangu Ambush
In a heroic display of bravery, troops from the 3 Division of the Nigerian Army successfully cleared an ambush staged by bandits in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau state. The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, when the troops responded to a distress call in the Mangu general area.
During the intense firefight, the troops managed to neutralize three bandits who were involved in the ambush. This courageous action demonstrates the unwavering commitment of the Nigerian Army to maintaining peace and security in the region.
Recovering Weapons and Apprehending Fleeing Bandits
Following the successful clearance of the ambush, the troops made a significant discovery. They recovered three AK 47 rifles, along with 14 rounds of 7.62 mm Special rounds. In addition, a motorcycle and a Constabulary Police Identity card were seized from the bandits.
